THE ARTISTS' EASTER EXHIBITION 09

April 4 – May 3, 2009

The 63rd juried Easter Exhibition gives established artists as well as new talents a chance to present their works to a larger audience. Through the committee’s selection some of the trends and tendencies that are currently being expressed on the art scene will be showcased.
Each year the exhibition presents a suggestion of the direction in which contemporary art is moving based on the content and expression of the selected works and the media types the artists have chosen to work with. In a broad spectrum of media such as video, painting, installation, photography and sculpture the committee assembles the exhibition on the basis of the committee members’ common criteria for quality and their collective understanding of contemporary art.

The works at this year’s easter exhibition will be selected by a committee of five established artists: Astrid Lomholt, Tone Olaf Nielsen, Birgit Johnsen, Svend-Allan Sørensen and Torben Ribe.
