KP & SPRING

April 17 - May 15 2011

The exhibition period at the Aarhus Art Building around Easter includes the adjudicated exhibition The Artists’ Easter Exhibition (KP), the group exhibition spring showing previous participants from the Easter Exhibition and the solo exhibition Islands of Problems with work by the former spring participant Michael Isling. Altogether the period offers insight into the
whole process, from young hopeful artist through major presentations in group contexts to solo exhibitions and the established professional art world – a process that is here in full progress, and at the same time in its
infancy.

KP 11
The Artists’ Easter Exhibition (KP) gives both established artists and brand new talents the opportunity to present their works to a wide public. The selections of the adjudicating committee present some of the currents and
tendencies that are coming to expression in art right now. The exhibition typically shows works within a wide spectrum of media such as video,
painting, installation, photography and sculpture.

SPRING 11
Spring is a group exhibition arranged by the board of the Artists’ Easter Exhibition. The exhibition is a platform for artists who have previously exhibited at the Easter Exhibition and are here given the opportunity to present a major artistic project. The participating artists at spring 2011 are Anja Christensen, Anders Bendixen and Michael Dupont, all of whom
exhibited at the Artists’ Easter Exhibition in 2010.
