Skizo analysis, tropicalism and cultural cannibalism.

It's all about the ego, when a number of Danish and international critics and theorists do readings of the first exhibitions of this year in the Aarhus Art Building: The freezing WINTER. The exhibitions featured a video program with art historical classics in self thematizing video art with artists such as Peter Land, Lilibeth Cuenca Rasmussen, Jette Hye Jin Mortensen and Vito Acconci as well as two solo exhibitions with Tamar Guimarães and Ulrik Heltoft.

Danish and international critics
In addition to the exhibitions the Aarhus Art Building and Torsten Bøgh Thomsen, MA in comparative literature, have published the reader Ego & Psyche. In here a number of Danish and international critics and theorists do readings of the artworks, which they put in artistic and contemporary perspectives. Contributors include amongst others Diedrich Diederichsen, German author, journalist and cultural critic, Dieter Roelstrate, senior curator at the MCA, Chicago, and Rosalind Krauss, art critic and professor at Columbia University.
